Ian Hart, from the US drama Life, is an environmentally conscious, veggie Welshman with multiple personality disorder and a possibly imaginary female assistant. It's produced by Lord Entertainment Group.

The music industry continues to be a popular Web series setting. Between Bebo's Sam King and the forthcoming US series Rockville, CA, Germany has debuted Deer Lucy. Aspiring singer Lucy (played by real-life folk singer Graziella Schazad) gets a job as an intern at the Deer Records label - but she's actually the illegitimate daughter of an 80s rock star. It's distributed via German newspaper Web site Bild.de and produced by German indie MME, part of UK super-indie All3Media. German retailer Otto is among several sponsors, with clothes and prices appearing beside the video.

The French celebrate a heroine geek with geekette Valérie. The comedy is picking up some buzz on DailyMotion with 300,000 views for the first season. It's just made the leap to broadcast TV, on TF1 last Friday, and is produced by Transkom. Here's the Christmas special.
